Originally written to accompany a short, ironic silent movie carrying the same title, dating back to 1908.
This piece of chamber music can be performed as an independent piece. The music style chosen, reflects the atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century. It suites well to a program with pieces by composers of this era (for ex: Richard Strauss, Prokofiev, Ravel).
